Description
Beautifully intricate patterns can be woven with metal links, and this class will show you the basics to get started with chainmaille weaving. Using rings made with your choice of silver or gold-plated wire, you'll learn to make a gorgeous helmweave bracelet. Enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and a cup of tea (and biscuits, of course!). Suitable for complete beginners, you will be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter. The workshop runs for approximately two hours. Enjoy a chat with like minded people and learn some new skills! Over-16s only, unless previously agreed by The Little Craftery (please contact us to discuss). Class times vary, please contact us to check the start time of your chosen date. Private classes (at a time and date to suit you) are available on request! Please get in touch to find out more. :)
What's included in the price?
All tools, materials and refreshments are provided. You'll take home the bracelet you've made, and some diagrams to remind you, so you can make more at home. Some people are quicker than others. If you are fast and finish quickly, you'll also get to make a helmweave rosette, which can be worn as a pendant (you'll be given a chain as well), or can be worked into a larger piece at home.
