There will be time to relax and work on a project using one or two traditional rag rug techniques, chat and eat delicious home cooked food.
Take a break from the rat race : small group, relaxed company; time to finish a small project if you are so inclined or start one to finish later.
Arrive after 5pm on Friday evening: dinner is at 7.30 and you can choose from their selection of local beer, wine or cider.
On Saturday we work on our up-cycling projects (hooking and progging) from after breakfast until about 6pm with breaks for a light lunch and refreshments. After dinner people sometimes like to keep working but it's not compulsory! We will continue on Sunday morning until lunch at 13.00 after which the course finishes.
If you can only come for one day only you could join us the Saturday, 10am-5pm when you can learn 2 techniques. One day is £60 including lunch. Ask Jenni for details.
Enjoy keeping this vintage craft alive - our grannies recycled their worn clothes to make mats for their cold floors. Sometimes they put rugs on their beds at night.....brrr!
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
There will be tools to try and or buy, plus hessian backing - a piece for a small project is included as are beverages and meals.
There will be Jenni's work and reference books to inspire you plus copies of 'More Rag Rugs & Recycled Textile Projects' for sale, signed by Jenni and copies of her DVD Rag Rug Workshop (see a clip on YouTube). You bring rags and scissors - more details from Jenni.
Please let her know if you have special dietary requirements.

Really enjoyed the day. Jenni explains everything very clearly and she was on hand all day to answer questions. She showed us examples of her work and was very supportive. The group was relatively small, which actually made it even nicer!
Response from Jenni's Rag Rugs:It's easier to help individuals with a small group. I enjoyed the day too with such interesting women who worked hard at their progging and hooking.
