Online Life Drawing (Evening)

Online Life Drawing (Evening)

Our online life drawing sessions are relaxed, friendly and open to drawers of all abilities and levels of experience. Our model will hold five 3-minute poses, one 10-minute portrait pose and a final 20-minute pose; the session is untutored but there will always be a tutor on hand to offer help. After the 1-hour class you’ll have the chance to stick around for an optional, virtual ‘pub’ trip, where you can chat to other people who were in the session.

Working from a photograph gives you consistency, but it cannot replicate the sense of community and presence that you will get from drawing alongside other people. Live, online classes are the next best thing to drawing from life – you share an experience with the model and other people at the session, united by the act of drawing. This session is held on Zoom; it is an unclothed life class, with a different model posing each week.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

If you'd like to join the session, just add the session to the cart and pay for the class - you'll receive a confirmation receipt right away. Then, 30 minutes before the session begins you will receive a link to join the event on Zoom. The session costs £6

After the session
There is no pressure to share your drawings, but if you would like to you can post them up on the Draw community Facebook group – it is a great chance to see the work other people have made and to connect with other sketchers. You are also welcome to tag us Instagram and Twitter!

What you will need

To take part, you need:
A Zoom account
A tablet or smartphone with the Zoom app or a computer

Looking after the model:
- Please, never take photographs or screen shots of the model
- Keep your camera on during the session – this helps the model to feel safe and to maintain the sense of community that is so important to our classes. If you cannot turn your camera on, just let the session leader know by chat message at the start of the session.
- If you enjoyed the session and have a little money to spare, you can send the model a thank you tip via the link which will be included with the Zoom meeting link.
