Needle felted framed picture

In this 3 1/2 hr workshop (10am till 1:30pm) you will take part in a fun, experimental felting morning, suitable for beginners or people who have some needle felting knowledge.
You will produce a 9 x 9 inch felted picture (complete with mount and frame) to take home.

You will learn basic needle felting skills using a range of carded wool and extra detailing through embroidery stitches and beadwork if you wish.

You will be working on a wool felt background piece and felting pad, working to manipulate & build up your picture, adding texture and tone as you go.
Your picture can be based on an imaginary scene, a greetings card, photograph, magazine cutting etc (lots of resources will also be available at the studio).
Due to the current Covid situation, workshop groups will be limited to 4 people maximum, complying with the social distancing rules in place. All work surfaces will be regularly disinfectanted and hand sanitiser will be readily available.

You will be taught by Lorraine, owner of Blueberry Button, in her cosy, colourful studio / shop at the foot of the Malvern Hills.

Lorraine is a qualified textiles teacher who now runs her own business at The Fold, Eco Centre.

You will be welcomed with a warm smile, plenty of tea, cake & laughter.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
