Needle Felted Foxes (1 day) in the Peak District



Create your own little foxy friend to take home! A tactile 1-day workshop exploring 3D needle felting techniques. Armed with new skills and simple tools, you can continue this fun and therapeutic craft at your leisure. This workshop is open to beginners and improvers. You will learn to needle felt a gorgeous little fox (approx. 12 – 14 cm tall). Jo will introduce you to the basics of dry felting natural wool fibre. By forming simple shapes and joining them together you will gradually build your soft animal structure. Different shades can be mixed or overlapped to produce markings. The addition of ears, eyes, nose and tail will complete your creature and bring him/her life. Full of character, your adorable sculpture will be a talking point for years to come. Tutor: Jo Gardner Jo is an artist based in the Staffordshire Moorlands. She works from her home studio creating wool sculptures and paintings. Her love of nature inspires her art, often depicting woodland creatures and garden birds. She delights in sharing her skills with others through both teaching and her own range of needle felting kits. Start: Join us from 9.30am for tea/coffee and introductions. Tuition starts at 10.00am End: Tuition finishes around 4.30pm There is an hour for lunch and breaks whenever you wish. • Purpose built studio in beautiful Peak District setting • Relaxed, creative atmosphere • 6 - 8 students per workshop • Open to both beginners and those with experience • Good fresh food, homemade cakes • Accommodation on site and nearby if required • Private groups welcome (minimum 6 people) Please get in touch for bookings or further information.

What's included in the price?

Course fee includes professional tuition, lunches and refreshments. An additional materials fee applies: 100% wool fibre in various shades plus glass eyes. Also your own felting tool kit to take home consisting of needles, mat and finger protectors.
