Needle felt landscapes workshop on Orkney, including lunch
A fun needle felting workshop suitable for beginners; we will make a small felt picture suitable to be framed. A light lunch is provided. Please contact me with your dates as these workshops are run on demand. You will learn basic skills using merino wool tops and optional finishing with embroidery stitches. Working with a felt background piece you will needle felt your wool on to it to gradually create and build up a landscape picture of your choice. I will guide you through the process, showing you how to use the tools and materials safely and passing on hints and tips about the design journey. The workshop is suitable for beginners and your design can be as simple or complicated as you desire. The workshop will take place in my shop on the heritage Victoria main Street next to the medieval St Magnus Cathedral. And is bustling with cafes, quality shops and local produce. If accommodation is required I may be able to help source that locally. But Kirkwall is a popular place and can get booked up in the summer months quite quickly. Orkney is full of world listed historic sites and beautiful coastlines. It is also a hotbed of creativity and artists. It has two distinct thriving towns and many festivals throughout the year. Orkney.com has all the information. If there are at least a couple of you I can arrange a date for the workshop to suit you. Please contact me.

Formerly known as "More Mosaics", I relocated to the beautiful Orkney Islands in 2019 from Lancashire, to continue my creative journey offering my various craft workshops to locals and visitors alike. I can now offer a twin room and can accommodate 2 visitors if required. The Islands offer lots of inspiration, and I hope to expand and grow my workshops to include local activities in the future such as collecting beach pebbles to decorate in mosaics!
