Mixed Media Painting

Mixed Media Painting

Through working on textured and/or collaged backgrounds you will experiment to see how this can result in a more creative approach to your painting. The tutor, Rita Dee, works mainly on textured surfaces using acrylic inks but watercolours and acrylic paints can also be used. This method of composing pictures lends itself to most subject matter and you may work from your own sketches, photos or objects or use those provided by the tutor.

Suitable for all abilities including those new to painting

No need to buy anything special in advance as the tutor will have plenty of supplies. However, something that will hold tiny quantities of liquid would be useful, such as a palette with wells, also a container for water and kitchen roll or rags.

If you do have any of the following bring them with you: brushes, coloured inks, paints which can be thinned with water, pens, pastels, scissors and any paper/collage material that you might like to incorporate in your work.

You may work from your own sketches, photos or objects or use those provided by the tutor.

Please note this workshop cost includes a booking and admin fee.

Refunds are not available on this booking. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?
