This was a lovely workshop learning all you need to make seven beautiful flowers. Ideal on line as able to see clearly up close on the screen, and to show your work to Elspeth as well. Felt very relaxed and great being able to do in the comfort of my home. Can’t wait to finish them off now and pop in a nice jug. Thank you.
Response from Ragged Life:Thank you Zoe, I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop, be sure to send us a picture of your bouquet once it's on display. Elspeth x
I really enjoyed this workshop - it was a present from my daughter. Tools/material arrived prior to the day, emails and phone calls to check all ok. Zoom worked really well and Elspeth was brilliant explaining everything clearly. I finished my sunflower and feel very proud - planning my next project now. Thank you
Response from Ragged Life:Thank you Jackie, I'm so pleased you enjoyed the workshop, we can't wait to see what you create, keep in touch.
Elspeth, very patiently, took us through the basic steps and enabled us all to feel confident that we could finish the sunflower project very easily on our own. I finished mine today and was very pleased with the outcome.
Response from Ragged Life:Thank you Janet, I'm so pleased you found the workshop useful and that you're pleased with your finished sunflower. Make sure you send us pictures of any future creations. Happy Rag Rugging, Elspeth x
I really enjoyed this course. Zoom went perfectly and I had received everything I needed to start in the post beforehand. Elspeth was confident, friendly and easy to follow. These are not courses provided just for the lock-down! It's easy to see that Elspeth has been holding in person workshops for a while. I now have the confidence to have a go on my own, and Ragged Life has online tutorials newsletters and advice if we need it. Also they sell the tools and fabrics. Give it a go!
Response from Ragged Life:Thanks Sue, it was a pleasure to teach you, I'm so glad you found the class enjoyable. Keep in touch and show us your Rag Rug creations.
It was amazing to be able to learn a new craft from the comfort of my own home; no need to spend money on travel; no need to leave my small children for longer than necessary. All the tools and materials needed arrived before hand by post and we got rag rugging really quickly during the course. It is very satisfying and I am busy planning my first full rug :-).
A tip; I joined by mobile phone which was fine but it was sometimes a wee bit hard to see what was going on. A tablet or laptop would have been a tiny bit easier. X
Response from Ragged Life:Thank you Alana, I'm so glad you enjoyed the course and got cracking straight away :-) Make sure you show us the finish product!
In 2 hours I learnt a new craft, from start to finish. I feel that I have now got the skills I need to make rugs, cushions and more that will get me recycling my old clothes and creating modern art for my house.
Response from Ragged Life:Thanks for much for your kind words Susanna. We can't wait to see what you make!
