Wild Land Art Photography with Gilly Walker
Saturday 7th October, 2017 | 10am – 4pm
We are excited to be welcoming the fabulous creative photographer, Gilly Walker to Hanwell Wine Estate this October. Come and emerge yourself in the tranquillity of the estate and let Gilly open your eyes to the beautiful nature surrounding you, capture images on your camera or phone so you can keep the memory forever.
Have you ever tried making art using the natural materials that are all around you? On this fun and inspirational day, you will look at some well-known land artists and their work and gather inspiration for your own art. Making at least one piece of simple art that you have captured.
No experience is needed, just an open mind and a willingness to try something new. You’ll use the abundant natural materials you find all around you to create your own ephemeral piece of wild art – so no need to bring anything with you as it’s all ready there just waiting for you !
This workshop is suitable for both complete novices and people with experience of working with photography or art but would like to expand their horizons. All materials are provided apart from your photography tool, we recommend either a camera or phone so you can keep it as a memento of the day connecting with nature or turn it into a canvas or card. Refreshments will be served to you throughout the day along with a two-course handmade lunch served with a glass of local wine.
“By spending time making Land Art you will use your imagination, be creative, get fresh air, and learn all about nature and its place. Which feels good for the soul”
A relaxing opportunity to get away from it all and do something different in the beautiful country side.
