Leatherwork course at Lincoln Castle: Learn the traditional skills and techniques of working with leather.
Participants will explore traditional techniques for working with leather dating from the dark ages and medieval period as well as the Victorian and more modern styles.Skills practised during the day include sowing, cutting, stamping and many more. Participants will then use these skills to complete a small bespoke project piece using skills learnt on the course. The project piece will be unique to the participant and could be based on a key fob or pouch or maybe a wallet or bracelet will be more your style.
This course is suitable for beginners age 16 +. Please wear comfortable casual clothes with closed toe shoes.
