Our Introduction to Embroidery masterclass is a great way to explore this wonderful art for complete beginners. Delegates will receive a certificate of achievement upon submission of images of the completed project. Course dates: Join any time (Kit is sent via Royal Mail, so please allow 2-5 working days). Venue: In the comfort of your own home. Time: Approx 8 hours but there really is no limit. Places available: Unlimited. Tutor Contact: Via e.mail Basic skills required No previous skill is required but you will need fairly good eye sight (or your glasses) and be able to hold a sewing needle. Cancellation / Refund In line with distance selling regulations relating to courses with digital content, this course is non refundable once accessed. Damage or Omissions If your package or an item in it has been damaged in the post, please contact us within three days of receipt. Your kit is carefully hand packed by your tutor, checked and double checked, but if we have missed anything, then just let us know. Allergy Advice Our embroidery kits are packed in our studio which does use natural animal fibres. Shipping All items in the UK are shipped free of charge via Royal Mail 24 hour tracked. In all cases we obtain proof of posting.

What's included? *Fabric, wooden embroidery hoop, binding tape and thread. *Spiral bound, lay flat course booklet (English text), designs and tracing paper. *All threads necessary to complete the project. (These will be Madeira or DMC). *Needle book containing the appropriate high quality John James needles and needle threader. *Our Maire Curtis mini prick and pounce kit. *Water soluble pencil. *Complimentary embroidery designs. All presented in a box which you can use to keep your work clean as you stitch. (Image shows our goldwork course boxed). Access to the online version of this course which has extra content such as video and quizzes. It also allows you to get started before your course pack arrives. (You will automatically be enrolled on our online course and will receive an additional e.mail detailing login and password from Cademy, our online provider). We have to manually enroll you on the course so this may take a few hours but will usually be within a working day. Access to your highly experienced tutor via e.mail for six months after purchase of the course. (We make every attempt to answer e.mails the same day).

Maureen is a master hand embroiderer with over 25 years experience. Skills handed down from Irish ancestors have been honed with training from world class embroidery schools. Small courses and workshops are often held in her native Cumbria and the hand embroidery courses can be studied via distance learning or online.
