Proud to present a one of a kind hand made Nakiri Kitchen knife
Steel = AEB-L High Carbon Stainless Steel
Blade length = 6"/15cm
Blade width at deepest point = 2 1/8"/5.4cm
Handle length = 4 1/2"/11.4cm
AEB-L steel is famed for its combination of toughness, edge stability and edge holding while being easy to resharpen. It is also extremely corrosion resistant.
The blade has been heat treated and tempered before being hand sanded and presented with a satin finish. The knife has been sharpened to 4000grit, this steel produces a very durable, sharp knife and due to the quality of the steel it will hold its edge.
The handle is a unique design I made by first stabilising a large pinecone in the industry leading Cactus Juice resin. This was cast with a combination of Phosphorescent powder, translucent purple dye and Alumilite Clear Cast resin. When exposed to UV light the handle will glow in the dark creating a stunning unique pattern with the pinecone, please see picture ( bit tricky to photograph). I then paired the handle scales with orange G10 liners and pins before shaping, hand sanding and polishing.
All my knives are made using the highest quality steel sourced in the UK and handmade in a forge in Yorkshire
