About the Course
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with a little experience of the wonderful art of needle felting.
Using local wool, in an array of beautiful colours, you will learn the basic techniques of 3D needle felting to make your very own christmas pudding, beautiful angel and probably a christmas tree too.
Course length will be approximately 3 hours and will include a needle felting kit for you to take home.
Hanne is also running a 3D Needlefelt Toadstool and Mushroom workshop from 10am to 1pm on the same day. If you would like to attend both workshops I can offer a combined price of £75. Please email if you wish to take advantage of the full day option. NB: You would need to bring a packed lunch.
Hanne Crank is a local artist specialising in 3D needle felt art. Originally, from Sheffield, Hanne moved to the South Lakes to concentrate on her art and live a more fulfilling life in this beautiful part of the world.
Hanne's needle felting journey began when she saw a tiny curled up fox at a friend’s house. After discovering this animal was made out of merino wool using a single needle she knew she had to learn more and has since taught herself the craft and become completely absorbed in the therapeutic process.
Hanne is still on her needle felting journey, as she continues to create new and original pieces. Always using the Lake District scenery and its local flora and fauna as inspiration, she finds the satisfaction of seeing a unique piece coming to life in her hands truly magical and forever intriguing.
