About the Course
Workshop Title: Contemporary Beadwoven Designs - A Bead Weaving Adventure!
If you love playing with beads & colour, then this is the getaway for you!
Stephanie will be guiding you through these three stunning & very different designs at a pace that suits you.
All three pieces are worked in peyote stitch & are geometric in design.
The designs are worked using Miyuki Delica beads that sit together perfectly creating a seamless effect, so although it may appear complicated it really isn’t!
So why not come along & explore this fascinating art form!
Workshop Title: Deck The Halls! - Bead Weaving Style!
We have everything covered in this festive week of beading. A couple of stunning stars to either decorate your tree or wear as a funky pendant with that little black dress, a bauble which Stephanie named Mc Queen, inspired after a visit to the V & A exhibition of Alexandra Mc Queen’s work.
Finally, finishing off with Woodland Fairies/Angels - perfect as a decoration, present topper or even as a festive pendant, in fact perfect for any little girl all year round!
Kits will be available for both workshops from the tutor if booked in advance or, if you prefer to source your own beads, a materials list will available well in advance of the course.
Skill level: Basic working knowledge of peyote stitch is desirable but not essential.
Each workshop provides the equivalent of 3 full days' teaching plus two outings to places of interest during the week. There is a maximum of 6 pupils per class meaning that each student has plenty of one to one tuition and expert guidance.
