Had a very enjoyable day with Cathy and Jean. They were so patient and offered different learning techniques. Inspired by their enthusiasm. I highly recommend this course and am hoping to continue spinning in the future
Many thanks Cathy and Jean

Spent the day with Cathy and het mum yesterday at Ovis Yarns in Liverpool. Lovely day, very relaxed but informative teaching. I came away with a useable hank of yarn and enough knowledge to continue practicing at home. I would thoroughly recommend Cathy as a tutor for spinning.

Attended a beginner spinning workshop with Cathy and her Mum Jean today. They are such lovely, friendly, knowledgable ladies, making it easy to learn a new skill. Nothing is too much trouble and they are both only too happy to help and pass on any tips...so much so that I came away with a hank of yarn spun by me! Would definitely recommend Cathy’s classes...if you are thinking about it..go on, give it a try..you won’t regret it..

Thank you for such a lovely day. Both Cathy and her Mum , Jean were excellent teachers with lots of good humour and patience. They helped us to learn this new skill with lots of reassurance. Highly recommended course which is very addictive.

Loving rural crafts I have always wanted to try spinning but it looked so complicated. Cathy (and Jean) are outstanding teachers. Their patience, understanding and motivation made the day fly so quickly and resulted in a spinning novice producing yarn! I'm totally hooked. My aim is to do the Dye Day with them dieing Marino wool, spinning it, then knitting a scarf. Just need to drop a massive hint to the hubby for my birthday present, a wheel!
I would highly recommend theses courses to anyone. Thank you

I've been spinning for about 12 months, completely self-taught and wanted some expert guidance to improve my technique. Cathy is a lovely teacher, very patient and great one-to-one tuition where needed, we were soon off to a great start. I picked up some valuable tips which I take away to my home spinning, newly enthused and raring to go! Thank you, Cathy, for an enjoyable day, friendly atmosphere and an excellent setting, shop and cafe at Black Sheep in Culcheth to make us feel totally spoilt!

Myself and my mother-in-law attended a beginners spinning day with Cathy and Jean this week and it was absolutely fantastic! We both had a wonderful time and had produced our first skein by the end of the day! Cathy and Jean made us so welcome and at ease, it made the whole day fun! It has definitely started something and I can't wait to start practising again! Thank you Cathy and Jean!

Just had a day of beginner's spinning with Cathy and Jean at Knit Wise and it was wonderful! I was given the workshop as a gift - must be one of the best ever birthday presents. At the start of the session I couldn't quite believe I would be able to produce anything useable, but with patient help from both Cathy and Jean, I left with 4 skeins of beautiful yarn that I intend to dye, then knit. All that, with homemade flapjack as a bonus!

I recently took Cathy's beginner spinning workshop at Black Sheep Wools in Warrington. It was the most fun I've ever had with wool! Having never tried it before, with Cathy's expert tuition I managed to spin 50yds of aran weight yarn! Cathy is so patient & helpful & so is her lovely mum. Thank you Cathy for introducing me to a wonderful craft that I've been longing to try. If you're reading this I strongly recommend you take the class. You will not be disappointed.

Saw Cathy's courses advertised, and was intrigued as spinning was something I had never thought of trying. I was taught in a small group, and was encouraged by Cathy's enthusiasm and patience. I had a successful lesson and learnt to spin. At my request Cathy then went out of her way to help me find a wheel of my own. I am now happy to recommend Cathy's courses to anyone who is interested in learning to spin.

What a fantastic day. As a complete novice I found the explanations and clear instructions easy to follow and I was able to produce not one but two skeins of wool under the patience and encouragement of Cathy. The day was over all too soon. A sure sign that it was a wonderful experience. Thanks Cathy and Mum.

As a complete novice to spinning, I was rather doubtful that I could turn my own alpaca fibre into something that remotely resembled yarn…after a fantastic day, a lot of encouragement and patience from Cathy, I have come away feeling inspired, with some rather pleasing (and surprising) results as well as some new vocab to impress my friends with (niddy-noddy?!). A highly recommended course.

I had a fantastic day learning to spin with Cathy. The small group size meant that there was lots of time for her to spend with each of us coaching and teaching us in avert pacient way. I would highly recommend this course

A really great day. A wonderful craft to have a go at- very cathartic. Cathy is an excellent tutor, very gentle and encouraging. Just being at Cedar Farm for the day, in itself, is a real treat! Can't wait to return one Wednesday for a "spin-in!"
