Working in the beautiful Undercroft room at Worcester Cathedral, you will be using tried and tested weaving techniques and will take home a round-based garden basket with an asymmetrical border, made using Somerset willow and topped with a wooden handle.
I will guide you step by step through the process, teaching you how to: start the basket by making a base, how to add the uprights into the base before weaving the sides and border, and finally adding in a wooden handle. An intensive yet fun day full of learning for beginners, in which you will take home not only this unique looking basket but also the skills to make more in the future.

A fantastic experience, Sarah and Marcus are wonderfully calm and relaxed with endless support when required.
I came away with a beautiful asymetrical basket and felt extremely proud of my achievements. I can thoroughly recommend their courses and Sarah also makes the most beautiful baskets to buy on line.
Sarah and Marcus were so helpful and patient , making it a great day .I would thoroughly recommend it!
What a wonderful day! I learnt so much about willow and the skill of basket weaving. Sarah was a kind and generous teacher, with plenty of patience. And we all left with an amazing basket made with our own hands, each unique and beautiful.
