5.5 hour leather clutch bag taster course - materials & lunch included
Description
These designers are aimed at beginners or anyone new to sewing or bag making. Our courses run from 9:30 - 15:00 and have a maximum of 4 students per class. All materials are included in this course. We will provide you with the leather and lining to make your bag. Choose your products on the day - The clutch/cross body bag is the largest bag you should be able to this and 1 other product. If you choose the small leather goods products you should have time to make approx 2-3 products depending on the speed that you work. No need to bring anything but your lovely selves, a packed lunch and possibly a camera & notepad to document your project. Lunch is provided at a local cafe. We will have a half an hour lunch break during the day. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided but if you would rather bring your own then, of course you are more than welcome to. About us: The Rebecca-Jane Sewing School is run by a designer and our courses allow you to explore your ideas and leave with the confidence to continue your design & making journey for a hobby or creative career. We aim to teach you the skills and principles of innovative design and professional making techniques to create long-lasting innovative designs.
What's included in the price?
Included in your course: • leather • lining • hardware • lunch at a local cafe You can choose to work with either our domestic (Janome) or industrial sewing machines. We have 5 flat-bed industrial sewing machines and 2 walking foot cylinder arm sewing machine, they are all fitted with slow speed motors so they are really easy for even a beginner. You are welcome to use either although our aim is for everyone to produce professionally finished bags and so we’d recommend using one of our industrial machines to get the best results. No need to bring anything but your lovely selves and possibly a camera and notepad to document your project. On the day: We will have a half an hour lunch break together so please bring lunch and snacks. Before Covid 19 I used to provide lunch and snacks but for now I have been advised for people to bring their own, which I am sad about as I loved providing this. Coffee/tea will also be provided but if you would rather bring your own then, of course, are more than welcome. Once we receive your booking and preferred date, we’ll send you an email with driving directions and public transport info. There is free parking on site.
