Personalised silver clay jewellery making day for TWO with prosecco
Description
Make your own bespoke fine silver acorn or shell pendant or drop earrings from real acorns or shells or leaves using the alchemy of silver clay. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and costs £175 for two people including all materials and prosecco for two people to make either a pendant necklace or a pair of drop earrings. This workshop is an ideal for complete beginners or can be adapted for those who are more experienced. In this workshop you will use real items from nature such as shells or acorns to make your own unique and truly personal solid fine silver jewellery. It takes place in my garden studio in Southampton. You will start the day with tea and coffee on arrival as we introduce ourselves. This will be followed by learning about using silver clay and how to transform items such as acorns and shells into your own bespoke jewellery What you will learn; - How to use silver clay - Capture the beauty of real shells or acorns by creating your own moulds -Creating your own unique designs - Sanding - Firing - Attaching jump rings for a pendant or earrings - Polishing and finishing What you need to bring; - An apron if you have one - Closed toe shoes - Hairband (to tie hair back while firing) - Mask or visor There is parking on the road or there is a car park very close by on Manor Farm Road (close to Dimond Road).

Maker
I love teaching workshops and have a particular love for silver clay jewellery making. I studied at the Cornwall School for Art Craft and Jewellery with Julia Rai for my Level One, Art Clay Diploma Certification in Silver Clay. This is a world-wide, recognised qualification, administered by the official distributors of Art Clay in Europe. I have also studies silversmithing at the Meon Valley School. I am a member of AMCAW (Association of Metal Clay Artists Worldwide) and GOJD.
