"A lovely day and a great opportunity to try 3 different ways of working with glass. Sarah was very informative, supportive and patient. Lunch was relaxed and tasty - so much more than the ploughman's that was described! I would recommend this day for anyone who, like me, wanted to try different glass works to see what worked for me. There are separate sessions for fusion, stain glass and enameling if you know what you want to do."

"We spent a lovely morning glass fusing in Sarah's workshop. Sarah was very welcoming and explained everything we were going to do during the session, with enough health and safety to put us at our ease and make us feel safe! We were able to design and make several pieces with Sarah giving advice and suggestions without taking over! with a busy job, it was so nice to concentrate on making something. The time flew by and we both agreed how much we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Sarah for a lovely morning (enamelling next I think!)"

"What a fantastic way to spend a day. Sarah explained everything in detail from cutting the glass to how it changes in the firing process. Then there was a sample of stained glass, even using a soldering iron! The day was finished off with copper enamelling which was amazing to see how the enamelling changed in the firing process. Sarah was always on hand if you had any questions or to point you in the right direction. All part of the 3 in 1 day was a delicious Ploughman's lunch too! Would highly recommend to anyone as no prior experience is needed."

"Three of us did the enamelling workshop on 6th February 2022 and had a wonderful time creating something unique. It was lovely trying different colours and shapes for our pendants. Sarah helped to make it a very pleasurable experience with her ideas of colour combinations and ways of making the finished pendants interesting. Thank you Sarah for a very enjoyable morning."

"I did this course in October with another lady and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have not tried any of the three different glass courses before. Sarah is a brilliant and talented tutor. There was such a lot of different dimensions and colour choices to make. It is good to have a little idea of what you might want to achieve beforehand-Pinterest is a good ‘go to’ for ideas. Sarah can then put it all into context I.e achievable or not! Lunch was perfect- a good relaxing day! Thank you"

"My friend and I had a whole day glass fusing with Sarah, which was great. We made so many lovely things, which we will be able to collect in a few days. The lunch, which was also provided in the day’s course, was lovely and mostly home-grown. Sarah and her husband, Chris, who teaches pottery, are a very talented couple and good fun to meet. All in all it was a fabulous, creative day- thank you."

"A fabulous 2 hours of creating our own glass pieces. Sarah has great patience and provides all the knowledge you need to make some lovely pieces. Materials were limitless and even when we thought we were finished she encouraged us to make one more piece. My 3 teenage boys were engaged the whole time and learnt some new skills in cutting and using glass. Sarah was happy to work with their ideas and suggest ways to get the best outcome from the glass, introducing foil, bubbles and textures to their creations. The items were posted to us promptly so we arrived home from our holiday to find them in the postbox. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone, it puts a smile on my face every time I look at our creations!"

"I went with my daughter in early October.. It was my second time with Sarah. Sarah is great - explains things really clearly, is encouraging and patient, and helps you to make your ideas work. We both made coasters that we were delighted with, as well as a ring, and hanging decorations. Arrangements for our safety were good and we felt very comfortable wearing visors. "We went to a glass workshop at the end of October. Sarah offered us visors to wear instead of our masks, which was a great idea given the duration of the workshop. We felt safe throughout, with the set up allowing social distancing. Sarah was incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, kind and helpful throughout the session, and I’d highly recommend the workshop for absolute beginners as well as those who do have some knowledge of glass fusing. We made 7 pieces in total between the two of us, and the overall experience is something we won’t forget - in a good way!"

"My husband and I attended this course in October. A fantastic way to try some new crafts, lose ourselves in creativity and effectively escape for the day. Both the glass fusing and pottery tuition was excellent. We both made some pieces we feel really proud of and they have just arrived safely at our home having been posted after being fired etc... Must not forget to mention delicious lunch and wonderful hospitality from this creative pair."

"My husband bought me a voucher for 3 people to attend the glass fusing class so I decided to takey sons who are 15 as they enjoy doing creative things. "My 11yo daughter and I had a lovely day with Sarah and Chris. Relaxed, informative and productive, we can’t wait to see how our items turn out. Lunch was delicious too! As our day was during Covid times, Sarah and Chris took care to wear appropriate ppe as did we, the workshops were well ventilated and we maintained a social distance throughout. We’re already looking forward to doing another one! ☀️"

"A really positive day with Sarah and Chris doing the pottery and glass fusing day last week. It was just myself and my daughter due to Covid restrictions and the whole day was relaxed but productive. Neither of us have ever done wheel pottery or glass fusion but we both felt we learnt so much in just a day under the calm supervision and teaching of Sarah and Chris and made several pieces of pottery and glass that we were really pleased with. Lunch was lovely and we would really recommend this craft day."

"My daughter and I spent a really enjoyable few hours on our half day pottery/glass fusing course. We were both complete beginners but Chris and Sarah took plenty of time to guide us through the techniques needed to make a variety of different pieces in both of the classes. Chris knew that I was a cake maker so suggested that I have a go at making a small pottery cupcake stand, I can't wait to pick it up to see if it survived the kiln or not! We made so many different items in the glass fusing class and are both looking forward to picking them up tomorrow to see what the finished items look like. I would highly recommend both the pottery and glass fusing course to anyone that would like a few hours to relax and get creative. Thank you Sarah and Chris."

"This day was shared with my husband and me, both being complete novices. Sarah provided a very positive day for me. She clearly explained the techniques and options available for my project and was always on hand supporting (but in an inobtrusive way) so I could try my own creative ideas whenever possible. I was amazed that I was able to make a range of items beyond what I had anticipated, and can't wait to collect the fired items in a few weeks. Would recommend this day course to anyone who wants to bring out their inner artisan. Barbara. I opted for a complete day of pottery with Chris. Obviously very experienced in running courses, he began with the necessary health and safety briefing. After a short demonstration, it was straight into throwing pots, which was just great. He gave just the right balance of advice and intervention and I completed numerous examples refining the shapes and gaining confidence during the morning. There was a chance to reflect over lunch and a much-needed coffee break. The afternoon was spent finalising each pot and decorating with liquid slip. I found the whole day both therapeutic and incredibly rewarding. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished products. Very much recommended. Mike"
