"I loved this course! The tempo was good and there was a good balance between pigment and pattern. The teaching comes from deep wisdom and knowledge. SAOG Studios is 360 degree impressions of beauty and mystic knowledge - very stimulating. You create a soft atmosphere and are very good listeners and teachers. A great week that brought many elements of life into one."

Both Daniel and David added intriguing stories, poems and information that made the course so unique. I'd recommend to anyone!"

"An interesting day that took us to places we had not suspected we'd go. Richie and I agreed it was a fun experience, we made some lovely connections with other participants, and we were both (eventually) happy with what we created."

"I really enjoyed your 5 day Labyrinth course. Although accurate drawing isn't really my thing I was completely absorbed in the process of drawing fantastic labyrinths, each with it's own story. Your deep reverence for all the cosmic significance of the numbers and proportions that we all got lost in together really moved me. I was truly inspired by a sense of profound order surrounding us. The coffee and buns were fab too. Oh, and so many great conversations! Every night since the course I've been dreaming of circles and I feel very much at peace."

John Wadsworth reviewed: Mandalas of the World

""This course has been a total joy, and it has been full of spiritual and cosmic revelation. The way Daniel teaches perfectly fits the way that I learn best. He treats the material with such reverence and poetic beauty. I feel this week has opened up a path for me, and I feel it will play an important part in my life from now on. I always felt barred from the artistic world, not feeling in any way that I possessed artistic talent but this course has given me access to an artistic passion. I only wish I had been introduced to this way of understanding and practising sacred art earlier! Thank you so much. Sara Hall reviewed: Persian Patterns: Exploring the geometric genius of the Persian master-craftsmen

"It’s been a mind blowing & momentous 3 days of discovery, initiation & finding my way back into a world so expansive yet contained; filled with love, grace, spiritual connection & beauty. I loved the dark & I’ve loved the light. I’ve loved the chaos & I’ve love the calm. I cannot believe how much I’ve discovered, not only about myself but about the universe all contained within these works ... each one a portal of information within which one can choose to enter or observe while constructing. Extraordinary, inspiring & weird in that magical & mystical way. I truly cannot wait until I return. So many thanks you’s!!!"

Karen reviewed: Art and craft of labyrinth

"Thank you so much for this inspiring and contemplative time. As someone who hasn't picked up a compass, a paintbrush or a linocutter for over 30 years I spent a lot of time comfortably out of my comfort zone! And what a revelation it is to work with gold leaf! The geometry was fascinating and the skeleton of the labyrinth is as beautiful as the finished article. As a words person I could have spent a lot longer discussing the symbology and significance of the geometry and the labyrinth but immersing myself in the construction and embellishment was a wonderful way to learn. I am very much looking forward to sharing a new depth of the labyrinth with my clients as we explore their rites of passage. Thank you, thank you!"

"I have thoroughly enjoyed the weekend learning and experiencing Persian geometry with Daniel. Daniel's passion is evident and brought the patterns to life, skillfully guiding us even through what at first seemed like the most difficult of patterns and made it very achievable. The quotes and stories that were told about Sacred Geometry brought forth a very rich experience. I now have the spark to continue my journey, thank you Daniel for sharing your obvious passion and Vija for your beautiful support."

Marina Szijarto reviewed: Alchemy of Pigment and Pattern at SAOG Studios

"Deep gratitude to you all for your wisdom teachings and the detailed hands on application of them. Your teachings all came from a place of immense generosity, deep understanding and love. Thank you. The weeks unfolding of the philosophy of craft traditions, the relationship of minerals and colours with the planets, together with sacred geometry patterns and how they all connect was opening for the mind and consciousness. The physical action of touching, washing, grinding minerals, plants & beetles, plus the dramatic chemical reactions, grounded the knowledge in the body and crates a relationship for me with all the materials and tools we used. The making and using of the paints on the sacred patterns was a heart opening meditation that connected all parts of this incredible week - thank you so so much. Thank you also for making space for Darren’s water talk, which was also illuminating, plus the daily poems and prayers which helped set the intention of the room. I wanted to share these words I was inspired to put on social media with some photos after the course “Wild crafting our materials ( both traditional craft arts & healing arts) and connecting our creativity to a specific place on the earth - making relationship with those plants, earth, rocks and minerals and their connections to the planets/ cosmos is all of our birth right, no matter which continent we live on, or who are ancestors are - it is the medicine to antidote the industrialisation and commodification of our world and Re Member our interconnections.” On returning to London ... I felt similar to how it feels when coming back from a meditation or spiritual retreat...only better as now I have some beautiful colours to mark and remember the journey :) I hope to be able to take more workshops with you all ... Thank you again, and warmest regards to you all and your families during this beautiful dark time of year and the rebirth of the seed of light,"

The space was held gently and openly as we co-created our pigments and paint and put compass to paper. I feel re-enlivened to colour and to art.
