"This was a great introduction to leatherwork and in half a day I made items I was really pleased with, and got a taste for wanting to learn and do more. Rosanna is a great teacher; explains things well, is very patient, and forgiving of mistakes. The venue in Smithbrook kilns is perfect for small groups and even on a roasting hot August day it was cool inside and a lovely environment, which also made it a great experience."

"I spent a very enjoyable 2 days with Rosanna in her studio designing, cutting out and constructing a really unique and lovely handbag. Rosanna is an excellent teacher, showing patience and understanding when dealing with a complete beginner to this craft. I was able to master the techniques of cutting and bonding leather then sewing my pieces together on a specialist sewing machine. I constructed a lining with pockets for cards or phone and an inside zip pocket for more valuable items. I came to the course with a rough idea of what I wanted to make and what colour leather I wanted to use and the finished handbag far exceeded my expectations. Rosanna gave clear instructions and I was able to work on construction mostly independently but she was always on hand to help where necessary. I will not hesitate to book another course."

"I attended the half day leather working course, and was able to make three items; a card pocket which I was able to emboss with my initials, a glasses case also embossed and a keyring. This course was a great introduction to leather working, and I enjoyed learning about the different types of leather and how to use the tools, and to end the session with three good looking items that I had made myself, was very rewarding. I highly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in learning about working with leather."

"This was a fantastic course and I would say one of the best craft courses I have been on. Rosanna was very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed her calm but very detailed approach to leather teaching. It was a very relaxing day and my dad and I didn't want to go home as we enjoyed it so much! We couldn't stop talking about how much we loved it on the way home. I would definitely recommend this course and it is great value for money considering what you learn and make. The course was a gift for my dad for Xmas, as he wants to pursue leather making but after completing this course, I too will continue to make some leather accessories at home."

"I joined Rosanna's 2 day course to refine my cutting and external bag stitching skills. I learnt so much more. Being mostly self taught, Rosanna diplomatically helped me to correct some of my bad habits and helped me to learn more about when to interface a bag and with what strength of interfacing. I made a two tone lined saddle bag which I am very pleased with, especially the professional quality of the strap. I have more confidence to cut my own patterns and experiment with using different leathers. I also learnt some handy hints from my fellow student for the 2 days whilst she was, with Rosanna's help, making an upcycled bag. Rosanna is clear in her instructions, patient and supportive - a great course."

I was lucky enough to be in a class of only myself and one other person and it meant the workshop was extremely productive with fantastic one to one tuition to give me a great springboard into the hobbling world of leather craft. Rosanna is very warm and welcoming with tremendous and admirable experience in leather craft. Having spent the day with her I feel very equipped to start my own projects and enjoyed my day very much - as well as being able to take away the fruits of my labour that I made under Rosanna’s very capable supervision. The cafe next door is a real bonus and provides a delicious lunch and the workshop is situated on a lovely little estate filled with all sorts of crafts and artisan shops to poke your head into, but the real gem here is the workshop on offer from Rosanna. A perfect gift for anyone crafty or wanting a gateway into Leatherwork, I cannot speak highly enough of this one day workshop! HIGHLY recommended indeed and I hope to be back soon to do her bag making course. Don’t miss out!"

"I had a really enjoyable day with Rosanna on her one day course, I learnt a huge amount which has now given me the confidence to try more leatherwork in my own and I have already ordered the basic tools to start with. I also used a wide variety of tools and learn how to insert poppers, rivets, Sam Browne studs and zips, I also learnt some decorative skills and embossing, it was a very full day and I loved every minute. "Just spent a lovely couple of days at Rosanna's studio in Cranleigh. With Rosanna's help I made a bespoke outdoors backpack for my Husband's birthday, which he absolutely loved! I learnt a lot over the two days - enough to have a go at a few small projects at home now. My 10 year old daughter came with me on the second day and she absolutely loved it. Rosanna taught her how to make a few items which she was over the moon with and great activity for her during the school holidays. She has already said she would love to go back again another time. Thank you Rosanna, we both really enjoyed it!"
