"A fantastic day! I really enjoyed the whole experience. Lucy provided an excellent relaxed environment to work, as well as a delicious lunch and homemade cakes. I learnt many new skills, both through my own project and through the other students work. Lucy was always on hand to help and offer advice. I came away with not only a finished piece of work, but the inspiration and confidence to begin other projects. Will certainly try to attend another of Lucy's courses in the future!"

"This was my second upholstery day with Lucy: I had progressed from footstool to dining room chair! Brilliant day: suddenly in the last hour it all comes together and we each finished our projects. Superb informal but focused day: so many tips and techniques learnt as we went along. Really lovely homemade cakes and lunch too. A day with Lucy is a great inspiration - I left with my transformed chair, motivated to get on with my next project. Thank you, thank you.."

"What a fantastic day!! We had great fun with a very friendly and clearly extremely knowledgeable tutor. The environment that Lucy provides is perfect in her beautiful home with homemade cakes and cups of tea on tap! "Totally brilliant day at Lucy's house ! She was warm, friendly, interested in our projects, and so knowledgeable. I was amazed at how much we achieved in the day, supported by great food and regular tea and coffee. It really helped to have sewing machine skills, but Lucy was very helpful if people didn't.. I'd recommend this course to anyone interested in furniture.. thanks so much."

"Enjoyed a fantastic day on the course with Lucy in her beautiful home. As a complete beginner I had been a little nervous beforehand but Lucy was great- clear, calm and patient and there was a really relaxed atmosphere. There was also great food and endless drinks. I learnt a lot and feel really inspired. Lucy was very generous with her help, advice/ tips and her time and is clearly able to tailor her approach to the needs and level of each person in the group. She also made sure that even beginners like me came out with a product to be proud of. I would not hesitate to recommend Lucy's workshops."

"I'm a complete novice at the theory behind interior design but Lucy put me at ease and was very approachable. Although a more theoretical workshop it still had a large element of "hands on" tasks which I found helped my understanding. I found the colour and pattern matching topics particularly useful. The homemade cakes and delicious lunch also helped make the day feel like a real treat! Now I just need to get myself a colour wheel and get cracking on a mood board for the dining room!"
