"Loved doing the 3 little birds course with my daughter when we were visiting her. Can't wait to see the results. Melanie was so friendly and helpful and it was lovely to chat as we worked. We felt like we had a fantastic wellbeing session and felt so relaxed by the end. Just what we needed. The venue was excellent as was the flowing supply of tea and cake. "I came with my best friend for a 40th bday gift -it was such a wonderful relaxing way to spend a few hours. Melanie was superb, very friendly and helpful and explained the procedure very well. She also kept the hot drinks and cake/snacks coming throughout the session. We were absolute beginners to working with glass and we did fine. The workshop is bright and well ventilated and there was plenty of space and resources available. We never felt rushed and we felt so relaxed after the session. I can't wait to see our finished lanterns. I would highly recommend Melanie's courses and we hope to come to another workshop soon. thanks Melanie :)"

"Had a lovely afternoon. I’m not artistic at all but we were given lots of guidance about how to use the colours for our patterns. Mince pie, mulled wine and coffee included! Other people on the course were very sociable and all told, it was a great experience. My lantern was great, by the way. Highly recommended."

"We finally got to attend this class recently, which I'd bought as a Christmas present for my mum, after many covid-related reschedulings (which Melanie was great about). Mum and I had a wonderful day –Melanie is an excellent teacher and the class environment is really relaxing. I especially enjoyed having so much creative freedom with our designs. The resulting lanterns are gorgeous and I have been wearing the earrings I made ever since. Even the biscuits were excellent. Highly recommend and will be attending another class soon I am sure. "This class is so much fun! Colourful little glass birds that transform like magic in the kiln…what’s not to like?! Melanie is a lovely, fantastically patient teacher and there is a huge choice of designs to play with. Let your inner child run free?. I’ve done several classes at Crafts in the Valley and enjoyed every single one - so much so I just keep booking! This will be another one I’d definitely do again - what better way to spend a morning or afternoon? The class sizes are small, the venue peaceful with a happy, creative vibe, and Covid safety has been considered so everyone can just relax and enjoy some creative escapism! Highly recommended?"

"I’d never tried wet felting before and went along with an idea I thought was a bit ambitious but Melanie is such a fantastic, patient, clear teacher that it seems anything is possible! Was over the moon with the end result but equally importantly the whole day was relaxed and learning the technique fascinating. It’s all so colourful and magic as it comes together. The class sizes are small, the venue peaceful with a lovely creative vibe, and Covid safety has been considered so everyone can just relax and enjoy some creative escapism! I’ve been to several classes here and loved every one. Will definitely book again and can’t recommend Crafts in the Valley highly enough ?"

Melanie is a lovely, relaxed, patient teacher who has a great way of explaining techniques to make it clear and interesting. The class sizes are small and the venue beautifully peaceful with an outlook onto gorgeous countyside and a chilled, creative vibe. All attendees had so much fun on the day and everyone was so happy with their completed art works. I can’t recommend Crafts in the Valley highly enough and have booked on several different courses here - all equally fab. Covid safety has been considered here so everyone can just relax and enjoy a creative escape?"

"Melanie was an amazing a very friendly bubbly and attentive host , tea, coffee and cake was offered continuously we had a three tier snack stack filled with delicious nibbles chocolates and biscuits. The course was fabulous her teaching and explanations was easy to listen to and learn...we really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended"

"My granddaughter and I have just completed the fused glass lantern course with Melanie and we both loved every minute of it. This is our first glass fusing course, but it won’t be our last with Melanie. The workshop had a very relaxed atmosphere and Melanie is a great tutor, who explains everything very clearly and patiently. Tea and proper coffee was available (and cake and biscuits) were available throughout the course. Will be booking our next course as soon as I have finished this review. Thank you Melanie for the wonderful introduction to glass fusing."

"I really enjoyed this course. Melanie's instructions were really clear and even though it was online it was fun working alongside the other participants. The kit had everything needed to make the picture, with plemty left over for another one. Unwrapping the felt picture I had created was very satisfying - quite magical how the wisps of wool laid down on the bubble-wrap turn into a piece of art. It was great to be able to join this from my kitchen and I hope Melanie will continue to run these online even when it's possible to have face to face courses again."
