"My daughter and I had a lovely day with 4 other people being taught by Melanie. The workshop is great. It was a relaxed atmosphere and Melanie is a great teacher. We really enjoyed decorating the glass work. Would recommend to anyone and would happily attend another course in the future. Thank you Melanie :) "

"We had a fantastic afternoon making a beautiful lantern. There were lots of stencils available to make the fused glass panels of the lantern and a wide range of glass colours. I designed a festive winter theme while my friend went for the four seasons so she can keep her lantern up all year. Melanie is a lovely, inspiring tutor and the workshop is in such a nice environment- and the refreshments were great too! We are already planning our next workshop at Crafts in the Valley!"

"I enjoyed yet another great creative session with Melanie making a Wave. Melanie makes you feel so welcome, whether you attend on your own or with a friend. The whole afternoon was interesting and relaxing. We enjoyed a selection of small cakes and an even larger slice of cake with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Delicious! This is the second time I have attended one of Melanie's workshops and I just can't get enough. She is such a talented lady and patiently passes on her expertise allowing you to produce beautiful fused glass pieces. This time I took a friend and we have already booked our next session in February. Can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon (or morning)."

I am very pleased with my end product, just wish I had been more adventurous and less cautious with my use of colours. Maybe next time."

"My wife and I did the fused lantern half day and we loved it. Melanie's studio is a really creative and stimulating atmosphere. Neither of us had worked with glass before but there was some easy to follow guidance and a demonstration at the outset and advice along the way. It was enjoyable getting stuck in and trying new things - I think I played it too safe with some of my colours and designs but I'm planning to go back and do another course so it's all good experience! Would highly recommend. "

"I have recently attended several of Melanie's fused glass workshops. The atmoshere that she creates in the studio is warm welcoming and inclusive .As somebody new to this type of craft I thought that it might not be for me... but now I am totally hooked and look forward to my next creative experience. The joy of unwrapping each beautifully wrapped item after it has been in the kiln is for me like a child opening their birthday/Christmas presents! For anybody wondering whether fused glass is for them, I am certain that Melanie will convince you that it is! Give it a try... there is always plenty of delicious cake to assist the creative process."

"A magical morning! Melanie explained everything very clearly before we began and was on hand throughout to help and advise. I hadn't realised how much could be achieved, and although concentration levels were high, the pleasure and sense of achievement was well worth it. I found it a lot of fun and so interesting to learn a new craft. It was good to meet like-minded people and enjoy all sorts of sweet treats, with Melanie offering tea, coffee etc regularly along with delicious cake served with fresh strawberries and raspberries. The whole morning was a delight and I would like to go again and try my hand at something different. Melanie makes everyone feel very welcome and obviously works hard to make it a very enjoyable experience! I can't wait to collect my lantern next week."
