"We had a brilliant time with Julia learning how to make lampwork beads. Julia gave us really clear instructions and before long, we were making our own beads. She had lots of examples of different techniques that could be used to add decorations to the beads. Can’t wait to receive our beads. Thank you so much, we would love to return to learn more!"

Sam reviewed: Mini bee needle felting kit

"Fantastic to get a kit with an actual frame included. Don’t usually get a frame included and it really finishes it off. Because it’s natural wood it goes with anything or I might paint. I’m so proud of it, thank you! "

Ann Major reviewed: Table Loom Weaving Workshop - Dobby & Rose

"I did the 2 day Intermediate Weaving Workshop with Rebecca. I had started weaving on a ridgid heddle loom in lockdown and was already addicted to weaving but being self taught was starting to get frustrated and felt ready to move up a step. I had met Rebecca at her Open house Studio back in the spring and really felt I would learn a lot from her and enjoy her company, I was not wrong ? I had already bought a Harris table loom and warping mill but had not started using them. Having spent 2 days with Rebecca I now feel I have the confidence and skills to get going with my next weaving project. Rebecca is an excellent teacher and has a relaxed, gentle way of teaching I cannot recommend her highly enough. "

Cerise and Jeremy reviewed: Beginners 1-day pairs woodturning workshop

"What a great day we had with Louise and Simon as complete woodturning beginners. Simon showed us the different techniques to produce some of the shapes and forms possible on a Lathe. His explanations as to how and why were easy to understand and his enthusiasm for turning was infectious. Under his guidance we both turned a bowl in the afternoon. We left knowing we will be back. Thank you Louise and Simon for making the day so memorable."

Fay reviewed: Resin art course for beginners

"I was very fortunate to book a date where I had a one-to-one session. It was great although it would have been just as good with others. Norman was so knowledgeable & more than happy to share information & techniques & he answered all my questions! He also provided notes which was brilliant. A really relaxed atmosphere spending time on artwork & coming away with two great pieces. Definitely recommend it & I'd certainly go again."

"Fantastic event! Annie is a brilliant teacher, friendly, attentive and super supportive. At least 2 out of the 4 on the course have been bitten by the weaving bug, me included! The surroundings are glorious and the various critters highly endearing. Food was delicious and Kurt the Yurt a very warm, welcoming and calming place to learn. Couldn’t recommend this more highly. Will be booking my slot on the spinning version next ??"

Thomas reviewed: October half term willow lantern making workshop (morning sessions)

"We all really enjoyed making lanterns, we felt we had plenty of time to make them in, they were quite big and looked really good lit up at night, the lady running it was very kind and helpful, you definitely need 1 adult to 1 child regardless of age to make these as there would of been no way I could of helped 2 children complete there lanterns. All that said it was a really enjoyable family craft session."

Stanwick Lakes Art and Craft Courses responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review. Your comments about the one adult/one child have been noted too. We look forward to welcoming you to Stanwick Lakes again soon. "
