Clare Rix reviewed: Full day leather craft workshop

"Rosanna is a great teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. The hardest part was choosing what to make and which colour type of leather to use! Rosanna is always on hard to offer advice and guidance. I am looking to go back to do another one hopefully a bag this time. "

Antony Dodworth reviewed: Half-day 1-2-1 sharpening (woodturning gouges) workshop for 1 person

"I had done some wood chisel sharpening in my school days some 40 years ago, this course interested me as it was carving gouges and lathe tools, Simon made you feel at ease, he had a "let’s give it a go" attitude and said that he could correct most things that are not perfect, so I sharpened about 8 tools in the afternoon. Time flies when you’re having fun, I will go back and do his wood turning course in the future. Antony"

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi Antony, It was great having you visit my workshop; I look forward to meeting you again soon. -- Simon"

Antony Dodworth reviewed: One day Wood Carving Experience

"I had never done any wood carving before, so this was a first, it was a very enjoyable day, I achieved more in the day that I had expected, this was mainly due to Peter’s let’s give it a go attitude , he is obviously a very talented man, looking at the things that he has made in his workshop. Would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in wood carving. Antony"

Sue Caddy reviewed: SAORI freeform weaving 2 day beginners' course

"A super weekend learning to weave the SAORI way... Amanda is an inspiring teacher who's instructions are clear and not hurried in any way. She is very encouraging and you know you will produce something by the end of the weekend that you can take home. She teaches all ages from young to old, so this is a very inclusive skill to learn. Amanda explains the mysteries of the loom, the different ways to use threads and how a piece of woven cloth can be turned into something wearable and beautifully unique. To come away from the weekend having learned a completely new skill and to have something to show for it is a very satisfying feeling. SAORI weaving is wonderfully creative and there are NO MISTAKES! Give it a go! "

BEAUTIFULcloth SAORI Studio responded:

"Hello Sue Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a joy to share SAORI weaving with you over the two days and see your beautiful work develop. Your enthusiasm and willingness to try different techniques was fabulous and I am so pleased you were rightfully happy with your finished pieces which deserve to be on display. Warm wishes Amanda "

"This course is AMAZING. On the first day we learnt to TIG and MIG Weld, Plasma Cutting and how to use the Forge. On the second day we put our training into practise and everyone on the course made something different. With Natalie's expert tuition and boundless enthusiasm, you pick up the basics of each skill incredibly quickly; you just wouldn't believe what we all managed to create after just one day! I'm very excited to put my new-found skills into practise and will certainly return for more training when the opportunity arises.
