Would you like to learn a new, addictive, enjoyable and refreshing skill which has its roots in nature and ancient cultural traditions? Now is your chance to learn pyrography (wood burning), in a step by step, easy to follow workshop, which is suitable for beginners - no experience necessary! You will be taught how to hold the pyrography tool safely and make a variety of marks on wood, as well as how to burn different shades to create tonal depth. You will get to experiment with scale and composition, by creating ... a large wooden slice OR chopping board pyrography design of your choice AND a coaster (design of your choice) AND a wooden spoon (design of your choice) The design you create can be of anything you like - inspiration images will be provided, but feel free to bring along any imagery you might like to take ideas from and you can easily trace these on using carbon paper so no drawing skills required. Once your designs have been burnt into the natural wood you will be shown how to seal your design with Danish oil and get to take them home.
