"Ali is such a kind and patient teacher. I wanted to make a house number using vintage china and I am so pleased with the end result. At no point did I feel stuck as the small class means you get lots of attention and really feel fully supported. Being in the peace and beauty of Ali's garden room was also really calming. Lots of good cake to eat and generally a super experience."

"What an absolutely fabulous day my daughter and I had. We both share a birthday and try and do something different on our birthday each year. This year we went to Jolene’s bangle and ring day course. It was worth every penny, was reasonably priced and she is such a lovely patient, encouraging lady. She also makes amazing millionaires shortcake. We came away with 2 bangles each, I made a coil ring and my daughter made 3 stacking rings. Thank you for making a special day even better."

Angela reviewed: 2 Day Axe Making Courses

"My 16 yr old daughter has just made a fantastic axe incorporating her own ideas into the design over the last 2 days with fabulous instruction form both Gary and Josh. A very friendly, welcoming and helpful team. They gave her clear instructions and knew exactly when to let her get on with it, when to check her progress and when to help. It was a pleasure to be able to watch her take a small rectangle of metal and use numerous processes to end up with a fully functioning axe. She thoroughly enjoyed the course and is proud of what her hard work has achieved. No doubt we will be booking another course with them. Highly recommended. "

Mike Eriksson reviewed: Introduction to spooncarving at Hill End

"I recently attended this course, and I can't recommend it highly enough. There was clear and concise information and guidance all through the day. You were taken through all the stages of making your spoon without ever feeling either overwhelmed with information or rushed. All the tools and materials you needed were there and you could try different knives and methods to find what worked for you. David (and his wife) was extremely generous with their knowledge and time. I came away with something that definitely is a spoon - anyone who can guide me towards that goal knows what they're doing!"

David Knight Woodland Crafts responded:

"Hi Mike, thanks so much for your positive comments. It was a great pleasure to host you and Hannah and I hope you'll continue making useful and beautiful wooden objects- and its an opportunity to invest in some good Swedish steel! All best. David"
