Louise J reviewed: Christmas Sock Knitting Workshop with West Yorkshire Spinners’ Xmas Special Yarns - York

"As a knitter who has not ventured into complex projects, the in person course has given me the confidence to knit socks on four needles, with the dexterity and shaping - thinking in three dimensions - that requires. The teacher was able to address the problems we all encountered, not having done this before, offering advice and encouragement. I don't think you can get this from on line teaching. "

Duttons for Buttons responded:

"Hi Louise, so pleased you enjoyed the workshop and as a result have got to grips with the complexities of four needle knitting - an achievement to be truly proud of! Look out for more from Judith in 2024 when she plans to teach brioche, fair isle & cable knitting as well as sock knitting. Best wishes, Duttons for Buttons"

Liz Norris reviewed: Tiffany stained glass Christmas decorations

"The tutor Kate was wonderful and so patient. Everything was explained and demonstrated. So, even though the only glass I had ever previously met was a drinking one, I produced four beautiful coloured glass Christmas decorations by the end of the day. My arthritis disabilities were catered for sympathetically, for which I was very thankful. Thank you. "

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review, we're glad you enjoyed your day."

The written instructions are very clear and the video is great to watch as you work your way through . Delighted with the results. Thanks Jo , excellent kit."

"Thank you Jo. I developed my range of kits during lockdown (which seems an eternity ago) and it still seems strange knowing people are watching me on the videos! Thank you for noting I include everything needed to make the sculptures - part of the enjoyment developing the kits was coming up with the 'complete' package. So happy you are delighted with your human sculptures. Jo xx"

Beverley reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"It was the first time I had braved something like this on my own and I absolutely loved this course. It was clear on arrival that Jo has a wonderful warmth about her and the step by step guidance, helping hand if needed and the slick timings that kept us all at the same creative pace was perfect. It was clear that Jo and Andy really have gone that little bit extra to make this course something special,. The attention to detail with the glass capsule message if you choose to add one at the start and the sweep of gold to finish - not sure of the professional term 🤣 were much appreciated. Thank you both so much."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"I think 'sweep of gold to finish' is a very suitable term Beverley! Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It's a busy day, but I think having completely different 'sections' generates constant interest and the time races by. So glad you enjoyed it and went away with your fabulous hare. Jo xx"

David Martin reviewed: Stained glass sun catcher lesson

"As a complete beginner, this one day course took me from cut my very first piece of glass through to making a professional looking clown fish sun catcher. Graham spent the whole day instructing, guiding and helping so the whole process was seamless. I'd send the proposed design in advance, as requested, meaning that Graham could check it's suitability and also have available the right selection of coloured glass. All in all. A very enjoyable and worthwhile day in Tiverton"

GrahamsGlass responded:

"Thank you , I hope you enjoyed your meal and had a safe trip home . Regards Graham "

Lesley Breckenridge reviewed: Fused glass christmas wreaths

"Had a lovely afternoon at Redcurrant Glass making a fused glass Christmas Wreath. Karen was lovely, very kind and patient, she helped us throughout the process ensuring we would have a beautiful decoration to take home once it had been fired in the kiln. I also purchased an at home Christmas tree decoration kit that can be posted to Karen for firing in the kiln, and she will post back to me once complete. A great idea for a gift as she does an large assortment of at home kits, great for those who want to try Fused Glass work but cant necessarily get to an in person workshop. I would definitely recommend Karens workshops, and would go again. Thanks Karen x"
