Laura Crichton reviewed: Interior design masterclass & lunch

"I so enjoyed Alek’s workshop and was really inspired to get started on my project! I already want to attend another one as just felt so fortunate to spend the day focused on design and with the added element of Alek’s knowledge and advice. I felt that she catered for each of us and really helped us all develop. Would really recommend for anyone no matter what prior experience they have."

Maureen Brown reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"What a great weekend , Mark and Richard were very good teachers very patient explaining everything clearly as we went along. I liked the fact that Mark and Richard showed us what to do and then left us to do it but still there if we needed them. The end result was a great box that my friends did not believe that I had really made and were very impressed. Thank you very much Mark and Richard ."

Andrew Bennett reviewed: Three day blacksmithing course

"I spent a hugely enjoyable three days on the blacksmith course at Bluefoot Ironworks. I left with several items I had made, the skills I had learned, and the enthusiasm to carry on making things on a forge. Pete Smith has the gift of passing on knowledge, seemingly effortlessly. Heather Smith provides delicious home-cooked food. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough."

A clay workshop for children is a brilliant concept and such good value for money. Charlie would definitely love to attend another studio session and was planning on the way home what he would make next time."

Helen Pridmore reviewed: Batik your initial in Ripley, Derbyshire

"I signed up for this workshop on the spur of the moment, wanting to try something completely different. I’m not an artist but have creative leanings and thought this may be a new outlet. Sue was a great teacher with a balance between teaching the skills and letting creativity flow. The day just whizzed by - it was so absorbing and relaxing. It’s a beautiful studio that inspires creativity. Everything is to hand and of a high quality. I was so pleased with my finished piece and has won the admiration of family and friends."

Hannah Thompson reviewed: One to one pottery throwing class in Worksop

"I bought this for myself and my Dad to do as his Christmas present; and he absolutely loved it! He has wanted to do it since he was a school boy so he was literally beaming from ear to ear throughout. We had to rearrange timings but Harriet was very flexible which was greatly appreciated. When we arrived on the day, Harriet was amazing with both of us, as Dad and I clearly had different skill levels. As a gift it was brilliant and we had something to look forward to! Highly recommend and well worth the money. Thank you Harriet :)"

Ruth Clinch reviewed: Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One

"Bought a day course for my partner and 15yr old son as part of their Christmas present. My son had expressed an interest in blacksmithing back in September and after talking to Chris at the Christmas fair in Worcester went home and booked them in. Possibly the best present I could have bought them!! Chris was patient and personable and answered all the questions thrown at him. I had gone along as a spectator and enjoyed it as much as the other two! They got to make and finish a leaf key ring and as they had time left Chris showed my son some other techniques to use and he made a decorative dragoness (definitely a she)! We were expecting to be in a class with other people but it was so nice as it was only the three of us. A definite selling point!! Would recommend this highly and my son has an interview in a couple of weeks for a place on a smithing course- testimony to Chris’s skills!"

Laura Booth reviewed: Landscapes and seascapes at the Cheshire School of Glass

"I have recently been on a course in Frodsham in Cheshire and had a wonderful course. I loved the results and the teaching so much , I've booked another course immediately. The teacher has a brilliant structure to the course. She has an easy going manner that makes you immediately feel at ease , yet effortlessly took us all through the process of working with glass and inspired us all to make the most wonderful pieces. I don't know how she did it! I don't consider myself to be very good at art, although I love creating! However Jennifer made it so inspiring I feel we just all responded to her inspiring approach. An amazing experience. I can't wait to do the next one. I have mentioned Cheshire School of glass to Wilmslow WI as I think they would love to do it in groups. Laura Booth"
