Michael Morris reviewed: Cracket Stool made with hand tools for beginners

"The leader of the course was full of knowledge and willing to share. It was a very relaxed atmosphere making it a pleasure to learn something new without stress or pressure. Biscuits and tea were plentiful. A brilliant bonding experience for me and my son, and we came away with stools made by our own hands, which my wife loved. Already planning to go back."

The setting is absolutely beautiful and the lunch was really delicious!! Thank you Walderchain!!"

Zena Cameron reviewed: Introduction to Sourdough Bread Making class

"Fantastic day on the Beginners Sourdough course with Ian last Friday. We were made to feel super welcome right from the outset which set a great tone for the day. Leant how to make 3 loaves in small class surroundings. Delish lunch and cake to top off an excellent value for money day. I have used the sourdough and basket today to make my first sourdough loaf since, instructions given were easy to follow and am certain my loaf will be just as good as the one I made with Ian. I thoroughly rec trying this, laughs and learning rolled into one."

Rachel Smith reviewed: Stained Glass weekend workshop

"The course took place at Nailsworth Community Workshop within the Subscription Rooms. What a place! It oozes character, charm and a love of crafts. The two-day course was led by Roland who was an excellent tutor. His love of glass shone through. He supported us all to make two pieces each, guiding us every step of the way and providing all the tools and materials we needed. He was also a keen advocate for us all to continue practising this ‘at risk’ craft after the course should we wish to do so and gave helpful advice on where to buy glass and tools, as well as an indication of the cost of these. Thank you Roland and the Nailsworth Community Workshop more widely, I will definitely be carrying on with creating more stained glass pieces in the future!"

Nailsworth Community Workshop responded:

"Amazing review Rachael Im so glad you enjoyed the weekend I hope the sun shines on your glass. Best wishes Pam"

Trish reviewed: Craft Your Own Carving Bench: One to One Woodworking Class

"Fabulous day out in the middle of an area of maintained wood near Grafham Water with limited network. Matt was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed his craft. We successfully completed the carving block by hand and although you don't have to be fit to do this, but the fitter you are the better. Matt guided us through every step. He was patient and a pleasure to spend the day with. The day was 100x better than we thought it would be. For wannabe woodworkers this is the course to do first so that you can make future wooden objects. I'll be booking those courses with Matt in due course. "

Manor Wood responded:

"Hi Trish, thanks for the lovely review, really glad you enjoyed making the carving bench. Hope to see you at Manor Wood again! Matt"
