Alison Bramley reviewed: Glass Fusing with David Humphreys

"What an excellent day I had with my niece on the glass fusing course. David Humphreys was a great tutor and host. Everything was set up to be Covid safe. With no knowledge of glass fusing other than browsing on Pinterest I was able to make a coaster, sun catcher and brooch. I throughly enjoyed the creative fun. David delivered the course with just the right amount of technical info. We had a great lunch (extra charge) at the mulberry cafe. All round a 5 star day."

Created By Hand responded:

"Many thanks for the lovely review Alison We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the day and you felt safe with the steps taken to make the class Covid safe. The pieces you worked on during the class have just been loaded into the kiln and look great. We look forward to seeing you again when you collect your pieces and welcoming you to one of the other workshops in the future Dave"

Brian and Chris Tucker reviewed: Stone Carving from Nature - relief carved inspired by nature around us. A two day creative stone carving course with Zoe Singleton

"We both enjoyed this excellent course which produced some great pieces of stone work in 2 days. Zoe was very helpful in guiding our progress as we worked on the stone and always provided useful suggestions to assist at every stage of the work, from choosing the stone, helping with the design, assisting with techniques of working and keeping us on track to complete the work over a weekend. We were very happy with the studio setup as we had to work in a Covid-safe environment, but Zoe managed to keep us all safe whilst supplying biscuits, coffee and inspiration for us all. Thank you Zoe."

Elaine reviewed: Saturday Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop at Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin 9.30am - 12.30pm

"Absolutely brilliant workshop. Tulli was an excellent instructor, friendly, knowledgeable and obviously loves Silver Clay Craft. Everything was supplied and the location was really nice. We really learned a lot and with Tuuli’s help we have found a new hobby we can do at home. My son came with me for company and he loved it, as a gamer he made tokens rather than jewellery and Tuuli made him very welcome and was very enthusiastic about his items. Thanks and can’t wait to do another workshop in the future."

Tuuli Parker responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review Elaine! It warmed my heart to read it. Hope to welcome you to another workshop in the future! Warmest regards, Tuuli"

Carole Crosby reviewed: Torso / Figure Sculpture in clay: 1 day course from life

"Poppy's studio an inspiration in its self, such a lovely space with so much to look at. The course was a delight, I had done clay sculpture before, and was very pleased with the sculpture I produced, but the others in my group hadn't done sculpture before and they produced great work. Poppy has a very structured way of teaching, which results in excellent outcomes. Thank you Poppy for a wonderful day."

Carol Smart reviewed: Needle felt workshop

"I highly recommend Yvonne's needle felting classes. She is very accommodating on what we wish to make. She supplies a huge variety of wool of all colours and is very generous with this. It is great fun and really good to achieve something made simply from wool and a needle. I have been going to Yvonne's classes for around 2 years now. Do just sign up and come along to any of her courses! She is very genuine and authentic in what she does."

Needle Felt Art responded:

"Thank you so much for your positive feedback Carol. It was great to start up again after lockdown on such a high, with so many inspiring pieces felted, so encouraging and uplifting. Yvonne."

L Leighton reviewed: Online beginners freehand machine embroidery workshop

"I thoroughly enjoyed the online freehand machine embroidery course run by Meg. Firstly, the course materials came really quickly and with a thoughtful teabag and biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Meg was patient, great at explaining and was attentive throughout the three hours, which must have been challenging as we were all remotely based. I came away with a new skill and enjoyed the chats with Meg and the other lovely ladies on the course. It was great value for money and a really enjoyable three hours."

"Thank you Chris for a brilliant day! My wife had done a similar course with Chris a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. She bought me the course for my 60th Birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed too, learning some of the ancient skills of blacksmithing. Being a teacher myself, I was really impressed by the way Chris explained and demonstrated each step of the process and I came away very pleased with the two items that I had made!"

Tony Pearce reviewed: Introduction To Screen Printing: A One Day Workshop

"I think I was lucky as I was the only student so got to do more than would be possible in a group. Very enjoyable Simon is easy to get on with and knows his stuff. Simon made it all seem straight forward whilst encouraging creativity at all stages. Would recommend to anyone who wants to expand there creativity. In a world of digital it was good to do something that was organic and natural where you (with Simon's help and experience) produce something with your own hands rather than someone else do it for you which obviously leaves you with a great feeling of achievement with something to show for it."

Simon Tozer responded:

"Many thanks for the review Tony, all the best."
