Description
A gorgeous wool felt mat kit to decorate your home at any time of the year, but especially around Remembrance Day as we all think about those veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice. This looks just perfect on the coffee table with a candle for decoration and to support reflection. The completed mat measures 32cm x 46cm. It is decorated with poppies and leaves on the front and a further panel of wool felt is sewn to the back for support; you may choose to add a liner for extra thickness but this is optional. Suggested stitches for this project are blanket stitch, back stitch and running stitch, although you may choose to add your own. Whilst this project is not complex, beginners may require some support. Use to display a hurricane lamp, vase of flowers or an ornament of your choosing.

Included in this kit is all the wool felt lengths required, three skeins of DMC thread (black, red and green) plus the templates and instructions with colour photographs.

Since leaving my role as a primary school teacher I have continued to work with children as a private tutor. Having plenty of time on my hands, I also design sewing kits and run craft workshops.
