Woodland birds two day workshop - Painting the birds of the British National Forest



Relax and explore your creative side! Whether its your first time picking up a paintbrush, or you are a seasoned artist looking to try a new technique, treat yourself to some time away from the routine, with a couple of days painting. Nurture your wellbeing, it’s so important. Plenty of individual attention is guaranteed in the small group session, you will get all the help and encouragement This two-day course will explore the beauty of some of the birds found here in the British National Forest. You will learn acrylic painting techniques to create the birds of your choice in beautiful light-filled woodland settings. Discover the different shapes, markings and behaviours of birds and learn how to create beautiful compositions. You will create a series of three small paintings on canvas to take home. *You’ll get a small kit of paint and brushes to take away with you to enable you to continue at home* All materials are supplied, including paints, media, brushes easels and canvases, plenty of reference photographs and of course - tea and homemade cake. Each day will run from 9-4 and we will break for morning and afternoon refreshments, and lunch which will be catered by the cafe here at Sharpes. After a weekend of fun, relaxation and learning, you will leave with your own original paintings, a wealth of new ideas, and great memories! If you are coming from further afield, I have a list of approved local accommodations where you can recharge your batteries and explore the Forest first-hand, to see if you can spot the birds that you are painting.
