Maker

Kate has been working with stone for over 25 years. She began as a stone mason, employed for a number of years before returning to her art roots and taking the plunge to become a sculptor. Her work ranges from large public sculptures to small tactile carvings to hold in the hand and everything in between. She has developed an effective way of teaching stone carving over the years, breaking the process down into steps. She never ceases to be amazed by what students manage to produce.
