This lovely little counted blackwork piece was created in our studio as a border design and we are now offering this as a kit featuring stunning Stef Francis hand dyed embroidery threads.
Simple back stitch is all that is required to complete this small piece and they have been very popular with people who have taken our 'Essential Blackwork' course.
Blackwork is very therapeutic and meditative to stitch and the wonderful embroidery threads lend themselves perfectly to this piece.
The kit comes complete with concise instructions and is a mini blackwork embroidery course in its own right.
The finished work which measures 7 x 6cm can be mounted in a frame, a special card or used to make a box lid cover - be as creative as you want!

both my friend who I had a kit sent to, and myself who ordered the kits, were very pleased wth the kit and contents, all well packaged and a lovely seletion of fabrics etc to create with. a nice unusual kit.
This kit caught my eye when I saw it on Craft Courses, it looked so pretty and fresh colours. I received mine very quickly and it is so nicely packaged and a good deal of fabric and other embellishments too. I set great store by how things I buy are packaged up and this was really good.
I since ordered another kit to go direct to a friend and like with me she received it very quickly and is delighted with it.
Thank you Maire for such a lovely kit
This kit arrived earlier this week and is nicely packaged and has everything needed to make the item.
The instructions look clear and the end product looks like it will be beautiful (depending on my skill!).
The only reason I didn't give this 'excellent' is due to the fact that there's no print out for the stitches required, I'm going to look them up on YouTube as I think I know what I'm doing, but a simple print out showing how to do these stitches would be useful for others.
Overall, I'd buy this kit again, or another kit from the same maker.
