Reverse Applique and Free-motion Machine Embroidery in York

X

Description

A fantastic course in which you will learn how to use a sewing machine in free-motion mode, combined with wonderful reverse applique techniques. Reverse applique is a method of layering fabric and cutting away sections of different layers. Also known as 'cutwork' This produces wonderful and exciting results. Create work using one of our templates or bring your own ideas. Don't worry if you have not done much/any sewing before, this is a whole new way to stitch and full teaching and support is provided.  Sewing machines are provided, although you are welcome to bring your own machine (if using your own machine, it must have the function to 'drop the feed dogs' and come with an appropriate darning/free-motion foot. Please let us know at the time of booking if this is the case). Machines must be in good working order and have a recent PAT test certificate.  Holly will provide you with support and guidance throughout – even if you have never done anything like this before. Holly has been teaching for over 15 years and can help you to create an artwork to be proud of. Session run by Thread and Press CIC, a Community Interest Company. For daytime courses, please bring your own lunch. This is an adult course. No experience required.
