About the Course
This practical course is about how to create a narrative in your photography, both in the content of your images and in your personal development, and then how to turn this into a unique portfolio.
The course allows you to bring any camera with you, from i-Phone to digital SLR.
You’ll develop a narrative which you’ll photograph each week and bring to class for a formal critique.
The course is ideal for anyone with a passion for broadening their knowledge of photography who has an interest in building a cohesive and intelligent portfolio.
It’s ideal for those who wants to undertake larger, more in-depth projects in a more critical way.
The sessions are structured so that everyone of any level will benefit; those with less experience will not feel intimidated and, conversely, those with experience will be challenged.
The course will empower photographers to look deeper into their practice.
On this course you will:
create a brief which you’ll then go and shoot each week
be involved in a critique of your work
develop the skills to think about your work in a more structured way
approach your practice with extra confidence
edit and sequence images into a professional portfolio.
What will you gain?
You’ll leave with a new portfolio of work that tells a story about your ideas and progress.
This may open doors into news or editorial photography or help you gain access to further studies.
But it can also be a course purely to help you develop your personal approach to photography.
