Loom weaving workshop with Lucy Rowan

X

Description

Learn how to weave home decorations by exploring different colours, yarns and textures This class is ideal for beginners who are interested in learning the basics of weaving on a lap loom. Hand weaving is a meditative art that allows you to unwind while creating something beautiful. Get lost in the mindful practice of weaving with fibre artist Lucy Rowan as you explore a world filled with yarn and colour. Discover how to create beautiful decorative pieces by learning stitching and colour blending techniques and creating different woven shapes and patterns. Lucy spends her days playing with colour and texture, creating beautiful weaves and decorative wonders. When Lucy isn’t crafting, she’s teaching others to and can be found passing on her skills in workshops across the UK. Born without a sense of smell, she believes her sense of complimentary colours has been heightened to compensate. A published author, Lucy has taught her workshop in many locations including the Victoria & Albert Museum.
