Course Start Dates

Description:

Our workshops cover basic tips and advice on how to apply the paint and wax, achieving the best results. It is a hands-on class which allows you to get stuck into the use of different techniques to achieve the look of old painted furniture. There is no need to have any prior furniture painting experience and you don’t have to be in any way artistic to get great results.

The workshop includes: 2 colour distressing, crackled paint effect, textured painting, use of clear, dark wax and coloured wax.

All materials will be provided on the day and there is no need to bring anything with you. We work on boards so you can take these home with you and apply your newly acquired skills to your furniture. The workshop begins at 11am and ends at 3pm.

Lunch and freshly made coffee / pots of tea provided.

13th May 2017

What's included in the price?

The ticket price includes 1 litre tin of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™, lunch & something sweet - plus 10% off any item in the shop purchased on the day of the course.

Want to review this course?

I bought this as a present for a friend who had a few pieces of furniture she wanted to paint and I tagged along. I might add that I normally struggle with anything arty or creative but I am now the proud owner of some lovely home painted chairs and terracotta pots due to Zoe's simple and fuss free approach to teaching. The shop is homely and inviting and sitting upstairs next to the warm stove whilst trying out a few techniques only added to the atmosphere. I left full of enthusiasm and with a new found confidence to 'just have a go'. I bought I few decorative items and some extra paint and brushes and the 10% off I received was a nice touch. (Their collection of restored lighting is vast and the chandeliers for sale are quite simply beautiful..) Thank you so much to Zoe and the Agapanthus team, highly recommended!

I had a brilliant day learning all about techniques to use with the Annie Sloan paint and waxes. Zoe was really helpful and I loved spending the day in her beautiful and welcoming shop. An enjoyable and relaxing day! Would recommend this workshop to anyone interested in gaining a new and rewarding hobby.
