About the Course
A great one day introduction to relief printing. You will be guided through the process of designing, cutting and printing your own original artwork, using easy to cut lino. All the basics will be covered, including information about tools and paper, and how to continue printing at home, for minimum outlay.
Suitable for beginners and those who wish to refresh their skills. We will be working in one colour and it would be helpful if you brought along some ideas in the form of sketches or photos or other artists' work that you like, as a starting point. There will also be plenty of source material from you to work from if you prefer.
At the end of the day, you should have made a number of prints and will have at least one block to print from again in the future.
You can turn any of our courses into a short break by staying in our on site accommodation. When you book a residential package you will get discounted accommodation in our stylish boutique hostel located in the centre of Cirencester in the Cotswolds right next door to New Brewery Arts. We offer guest accommodation for up to 43 people over two floors in 14 rooms, with a choice of single, bunk, family and double bedrooms, 12 with en-suite facilities. A ground floor disabled-friendly room is also available. The hostel provides a stylish communal dining and relaxation area, self-catering kitchen, laundry facilities and lockers for your bike.
