Description
On the Electric guitar set -up course please bring your guitar of choice and we will learn you how to set up the following. String Action, Fretboard relief, Intonation, Truss rod adjustment, Pick up height, Tremolo springs and Bridge setting. Please make sure your old strings are removed and your fretboard has been well cleaned before the set up. We will be using some very basic tools on the course and hopefully it will give you the confidence to set up any of your guitars in future. Ps. Don't forget to bring some new strings 👍👍

My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2023 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.
