Our full day block printing workshop gives you enough time to enjoy and experience the art of Indian block printing, our Oxfordshire studio holds everything you need for a fun, relaxing and creative day out with plenty of inspiration to help you during your printing workshop!
Your day will start with a welcome drink & introduction- getting you settled for the day ahead. You will then rummage through hundreds of designs choosing a section of prints to get started with and a selection of textile colours. We will then give a detailed demonstration showing you how to block print and the equipment you need, after this it will be time for you to go away and start printing yourselves! We will be on hand to help with any adjustments and advice you might need, and you will spend the morning testing your chosen designs and colours onto practice fabric, getting confident with different printing techniques.
You can then move onto printing a range of different paper & stationary items such as tissue paper, cards & tags. After Lunch you will have the confidence and ideas to move on to printing fabric items, there will be a selection of different materials for you to choose from which are all included in the price of the workshop. Before heading home we will fix/ heat set your fabric items to make them washable, you will then gather all your block printed items and head home after a wonderful day!
This workshop will teach you all the tips & techniques you need to know when block printing, as well as leaving with a stash of your own printed creations you'll also leave with the knowledge and confidence to carry on block printing at home!

All the materials you will need for the workshop are included in the cost along with tea, coffee & cake. As the workshop is a full day session we ask you bring a packed lunch with you.

Cushion cover or scarf
Zip pouch or drawstring bag
Items can be swapped and additional materials are available to purchase if needed.
Our studio shop will be open for any materials you may want to purchase to take home, we accept cash/card.

My friend and I had a very enjoyable day on the block printing course. The tutor was very friendly and informative. We were soon producing lovely prints on various materials and I was pleased with my efforts which I took home. Class size is small so you get plenty of attention and it is a lovely venue.
