This is a one-day workshop designed for those with some or little experience working in acrylic paint.
We will cover materials, design/composition, and colour.
You can paint abstractly or representationally whichever is your choice. Lynn will help you understand the practice of painting a well-constructed and exciting piece.
The price includes 2 boards for you to paint on. You will be working in Lynn's studio in an old Silk Mill in the ancient market town of Frome, in Somerset. Because of Covid, there will only be two participants so there will be lots of one-to-one tuition. A comprehensive materials list is provided upon booking.
'Lynn put together a really useful workshop, with the basics covered very quickly and getting into a painting. Good value for money, patient tuition, and great for beginners.'
'I found the workshop so helpful as I came to the class as a complete beginner with no experience and came home with a complete piece of work which I am going to frame. I now feel that I have the confidence to have a go at further paintings at home. So well done Lynn.'
Participants must be 18 or over.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking within 4 weeks of the start of the course or workshop you will not be eligible to receive a refund, nor will you be eligible to transfer to another course/workshop unless we can find someone to take your place on your original booking. I had a really good day with Lynn, she explained things very clearly and filled me with confidence ( as l was a beginner) l came away feeling far more confident to really have a go and believe in myself. It was also great fun.
I would definitely recommend Lynn's course.
Response from Lynn Keddie Art:Thanks Bridgette, I loved your enthusiasm and willingness to try new ways of working. Making art should be fun and you painted some beautiful pictures. I hope you find the time to keep painting in your busy life 🙂
Lynn demonstrated all the techniques clearly, provided the materials needed and gave guidance on what materials I will need moving forward. I very much enjoyed the day and it gave me the confidence to pursue the subject further.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lynn's workshop - well put together, with the basics covered very quickly from what to paint on, what to paint with, how to mix colour. Good value for money, patient tuition and great for beginners too. Would definitely recommend this course. Lynn was very good at putting people at ease and encouraging you to explore your own style and not be afraid to really get stuck in.
