About the Course
Weave a small mat or cushion pad using a wide range of recycled and natural materials using a pegloom.
At this workshop we will weave a cushion pad sized mat from rags and/or sheep fleece. Using the wonderful South American loom which is quick and easy to use you are guaranteed to make a finished piece.
We will use local wool which will be ready washed, some will be natural colours and some dyed with natural and acid dyes. We will have carders available for preparing the wool.
Weaving wonderful peg loom rugs is possible with recycled rags and plastics too and a colourful assortment will be available for you to use
All looms and materials will be provided and on sale. You are welcome to bring your own loom and other tools if you have them.
Sue Clow is a local textile artist with 30 years experience in textile recycling and designing.
She has experimented with many different textile techniques and sells tools and kits as
well as her handmade crafts.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities, including beginners.

What's included in the price?
All tools and materials will be provide by Sue. There will be a £5 charge for materials payable directly to Sue on the day. Please bring your own sharp scissors. Tea and coffee is provided but please bring a packed lunch.
