About the Course

We will start by getting to know some helpful tools and types of wires we will be using.

You can practise forming some simple shapes like angles, swirls and textures you might want to use. I will show you how to anneal and form your copper into a ring or pendant then how to clean and polish them.

Choose a gemstone or beads for your project or bring your own beads and jewellery to upcycle and include them in your project. Everything you make will be unique to you :)

A Bit About Me

I just love having a go at all sorts crafts, designing DIY bespoke pieces for the home and I try to upcycle as much as I can to be kinder to our planet and make beautiful handcrafted pieces.

I studied Art and Design over 25 years ago at my local college, then became a member of the North Staffs Guilds of Craftsmen where I had the opportunity to display my work. I have demonstrated some techniques of my wirework recently at one of their craft fairs recently.

I am a fully qualified tutor and am keen to 'boost up' your creative skills in this most enjoyable craft. Hopefully this will give you the confidence to move on to more precious metals in the future :)

Response from Kamsi:

Thanks so much for coming, Emma. Out of all the hundreds of semi-precious gemstones we looked at, you managed to find the one that spoke to you the most. It's perfect for you! Enjoy, Emma xxx
