About the Course
Your tutor is Linda Hampson. Linda is a member of South West Botanical Artists. This course is suitable for beginners or improvers. You will be working in coloured pencils, a marvellously versatile and genuinely easy medium to master, your subject will be the Daisy. Join Linda in this workshop where you will learn how to layer and blend alongside various other tricks and techniques.Linda Hampson works primarily in the medium of oil-based coloured pencil. She enjoys producing artwork depicting birds, botanicals and wildlife and she undertakes portrait commissions of pets and horses. She gained a reputation as a botanical artist in South Africa before moving to England in 2011. In 2013 she was elected to full membership of the Society of Botanical Artists, and at their 2013 London Exhibition she received the Derwent Award for outstanding work in the Coloured Pencil medium. Her art hangs in many private collections around the world including the permanent collection of New York State Museum. She was invited to be listed in the Autumn edition, 2014 of Who’s Who In Art.
