FAQs

Please arrive about 10 - 15 minutes before your class is due to start.

If you are driving to the class use the postcode NG5 1DX for your satnav. We are based in Block D of the Hartley Business Centre, access is via Ellesmere Crescent, just off Haydn Road. Park towards the end of the crescent by the cliff face. There is free parking across the business park but it is shared parking with the other businesses. It can be busy at peak times but you can park anywhere as long as you aren't blocking a doorway, loading bay or fire escape. There is also lots of free on street parking around the building.

From Nottingham city centre, take any brown line bus, number 15, 16 or 17, from the Milton Street stop (outside Waitrose) to the Teesdale Road stop (just after Tesco). When you get off the bus, walk down towards the junction and turn left. Ellesmere Crescent is the first turn on the left. Just after the Potters House Church, opposite Nottingham Free School.

We have tea, coffee, herbal teas and decaf tea and coffee. We only have oat milk in the workshop so feel free to bring your own if you prefer something else. There are always biscuits, chocolates and home made cake. If you are coming for a full day you'll need to bring your own lunch. There is a small Tesco about 10 - 15 mins walk from the studio. If you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know in advance.

Please wear sturdy clothes which have long but not loose sleeves. Jewellery making is not normally messy but don't wear anything too special just in case. Shoes should be flat and sturdy and cover your whole foot - you'll be standing for some of the day. Your shoes will also protect your feet from chemicals, hot metal and dropped tools. Tie back long hair and avoid lots of long or loose jewellery or scarves. If the weather is cool it can be cold in the workshop so layers will help you keep warm. Finally, if you need glasses for reading you will need them for jewellery so please bring them with you.
