What to expect
The small classes take place in the beautiful setting of our family farm nestled on the edge of Sheepleas nature reserve and at the foot of The Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The workspace is undercover in an open sided farm building, or weather dependant can be around the open fire in a small adjacent copse. Lunch is often cooked on the same fire and served there.
Most participants are beginners, although some may be returning to further practice their skills and gain more experience. Please bear in mind basket making is tough on the hands, so if you have a loss of strength in your hands you might find this class difficult.

My husband and I had an amazing day making baskets. Ellie was a great teacher and having never done it before it was very satisfying seeing my willow weaving become a basket :-)
The open air workshop, views of the fields, copse, Lunch and tea by the open fire and bird song really made it a unique experience. A great gift & I'm looking forward to trying other crafts there too.
