What a fantastic course. The studio has an amazing atmosphere and Jack's patience and teaching were above and beyond. The class was small, enabling us all to have one to one tuition when needed and I was thrilled with my finished pieces. The only downside was that the weeks went by too quickly. I looked forward to each lesson and would highly recommend it.

Having done a 10 week course with Jack, I am back for more! I have had several pottery lessons over the years and Loam has been my best experience. As others say - Loam provides a lovely, peaceful, uplifting space and Jack's tuition is thorough, easy to follow and he's very patient! It's perfect for a beginner or improver.

I completed my 10 week course in early March and would echo the comments of the other attendees. Small class size, great individual tuition from Jack, super working space and a lovely atmosphere. Course would suit a complete beginner, through to someone with some/ significant experience - I thoroughly recommend.

Every aspect of this course was great, from start to finish. Jack's tuition was detailed and really easy to understand, but he was also brilliant at letting us just get on and practice so we could develop our own styles. The small group allowed us to get plenty of individual tuition and also created a really warm and friendly environment. I can't recommend this course enough, especially if you're looking for a creative escape from the daily grind.

I have just finished a 10 week throwing course at Loam and thoroughly enjoyed every minute, despite being a novice.
The studio is a lovely place to work in and Jack is a very skilled, patient and encouraging tutor. He teaches by example the different techniques required to produce a finished object (of which there are many). It doesn't always work first time of course, but in the end you will be wonderfully surprised by what you can make rather than what you cannot.
Thank you very much Jack.
